Recipe: Super Easy Eggless Chocolate Cake

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 cup plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda bi-carbonate
  • 1 cup of unsweetened condensed milk (99% fat free)
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

  1. Sift the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder and soda bi-carbonate.
  2. Combine all the ingredients together with 1/2 cup of water in a bowl and mix well using a whisk.
  3. Pour this mixture into a non stick cake pan
  4. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180°C 20-25 minutes
  5. Unmould and cool on a wire rack.

Cake still turned out moist without the egg and it was really soft too. Would recommend letting it cool more before cutting (but Im always too impatient and that’s how I get burnt). Which reminds me, I wont be baking much the next few days, got quite badly burnt twice on the same spot because I always take out the pans in the same way and then when it was healing with the scap and all, I scratched it against a surface and white liquid came out of it. Ewww..Im sorry didnt mean to gross you all out. But I should really invest in a set of baking gloves soon but there is just so many other things to buy so that’s just not priority at this moment!

But this post is not about the hand, it’s about the chocolate cake! Which a few people have been saying it tastes like chocolate pancake and WX even says it tastes healthy! Hee well with only cocoa powder and unsweetened condensed milk that is 99% fat free, it is indulgence without feeling too guilty! :) Enjoy
