First meal back in Adelaide. This is a hotel we usually walk back on the way from Rundle mall back home that is usually crowded in the afternoons and at night but we never really got to try it. So this time we got a place outside in the cold and tried pub food as a ‘Welcome back to Adelaide’ meal :)
Tea-Smoked Duck Salad $24– Baby beetroot, orange, cherry tomatoes, haloumi, wild baby onions and winter leaves
Angus Beef Schnitzel $17– With gravy, chips and salad
Peppered Kangaroo $24– Glazed winter root vegetables, broccolini and port jus
The standard of the food here was really not bad. Certainly did not taste like the usual pub food. We were all really pleasantly surprised. Would have been a better dining experience if the wind wasnt so strong and I wasnt sitting on my hands half the time to keep warm! Hee

SUPER VALUE SET LUNCH- $27 nett for 3-4 persons
Dad brought us here for lunch one day because he had an office thing here once before and he thought 1) the deal was pretty good 2) the food had standard!
You get to pick from 3 categories of vegetables, egg and fish! These were our choices!
Pan-fried Omelette with Preserved Turnip and Chilli Padi
And…I saved the best for last!My favourite…
Nyonya Fish Head
You can tell where I get my tongue for spicy food from! :) All the dishes we picked were spicy ones. My family is huge on chilli and spices. But dont worry there are non-spicy dishes as well on the menu. Anyway the food was pretty good! I was impressed! You would definitely have to pay more + GST and service charge for this sort of standard anywhere else.. mind you, it’s part of the Paradise Group as well! Only problem is that it is a little out of the way, if not…it’d be perfect :)

Birthday day celebration with the bff at PS cafe. Lovely place for polaroid spamming and photo taking (of which we did plenty of =p)
Banana Butterscotch Walnut Sticky Date cake with Vanilla ice-cream
Doo made an amazing cake choice and as usual, PS Cafe never fails me in their cakes! YUM!
All Day Breakfast Sandwich– Toasted Turkish bread with fried egg, roasted asparagus, oven dried tomato, mixed greens, bacon, herb mayo and smoked gouda cheese (everything Doo likes for brekkie but put into a sandwich!)
Came here with the family for my birthday dinner! Heard that it was difficult to do walk-ins or even get a booking on the day itself but we were lucky enough to get a table though we only called on the morning itself! :D
I did try the branch at Faber Drive about 3 years ago and so I was curious to find out if the original branch here at Dempsey was any better! :)
Chicken Grande Taco Salad $18– Huge tortilla basket filled with with lots of crisp vegetables, beans, cheese, tender grilled chicken fillets, guacamole and sour cream
Grilled Fish Burrito with Chipotle $24
Kitchen Sink Burrito $20– The tortilla with everything but the kitchen sink! Chicken, beef, refried beans and rice in a large flour tortilla with salsas, cheese, guacamole with sour cream
Food was really good and I loved the ambiance. Very pretty :) Got a few nice family photos taken here :) Even daddy and mummy who are not really fans of Mexican food enjoyed their meal so I guess that says a lot!
