Railway mall is like THE supper place for the family whenever we get hungry at night because EAT and Ah Mei Cafe are both 24/7. So it’s like prata/kaya toast/bak chor mee at any hour of the day. Used to come here for super early morning breakfasts after Zouk as well in the past, back when I could stay up all night..back when I was younger.
Anyhow, we came here for brekkie at 7.30am today after sending daddy off to school because he has a retreat for the next 3 days! And nothing makes a morning better than teh-si with prata!
Prata plain + Prata with egg
3 sets of 2 pratas and 3 teas only came up to $11.20. Dont you just love Singapore? :) I know I do.
Ventured here after a crash course photography session with the shifu! :) And this is the result! Definitely going to start taking more photographs with my sister’s Nikon D60 from now on.
Anyhow, Torte is not exactly the easiest place to find and you will not notice it unless you were intentionally looking for it. With that said, it was situated in a really cosy corner at the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations Centre. I have heard that Torte changes its main course menu almost everyday so it is exciting to come down and try anything new that they have to offer. Main courses are usually $10 each.
Mushrooms, Risotto, Cream Sauce, Truffle Oil
The first thing you smell when this dish is served is the distinct truffle oil. Amazing blend of cream sauce, truffle oil, risotto and mushrooms, every mouthful was so delightful. Though despite its small serving, it was definitely very filling towards the end.
Lightly battered Basa Fish, Hot Wedges, Coleslaw and Tartar sauce
Using Basa fish instead of Dory fish, this dish brought a slight twist to your popular Fish N Chips. Very refreshing and very light to the palate. Did not really fancy the coleslaw much though!
Melting Pot Cafe which is located at Level 4 of The Holiday Inn Atrium offers a 1 for 1 buffet for DBS card/NTUC card members. Came here last Sunday for brunch with the whole family- 12 of us :) So technically we only paid for 6 pax.

Mummy and my favourite Big Prawn Mee stall :) Been eating here since I was a little girl. I remember we used to just cross the bridge from Novena church after mass to have lunch here all the time. Love the springy noodles, the soup and the chilli!
Yes as usual, my added chilli :D
