Prosperity Salmon and Abalone Yu Sheng $168++
Available only for dine-in at Min Jiang

Toss to an auspicious Year of the Dog with this gorgeous painting done by Chef Chan himself. Every dish is hand-painted by him and each features the cutest Pekingese with a backdrop of mountain peaks, and dainty pink cherry blossoms. The base of the Yusheng is made up of raw salmon slices and baby abalones crowned with red tobiko. Complete with edible viola petals and wasabi tobiko for the finishing touches, this masterpiece is almost too pretty to eat!

If you were wondering if there was something missing, you are not wrong! But not to fret, the servers will add the crisp chopped vegetables to the Yusheng, together with the various condiments and homemade dressing of lime juice, lemongrass and plum sauce- all while reciting auspicious sayings in Mandarin so that you will receive the blessings and good fortune. Nicely piquant, this one was appetising and light- ideal so as not to fill you up to quickly, leaving space for the dishes to come.

Fruits of Fortune Yu Sheng $88++/ $138++
Available only for dine-in at Min Jiang at One-North

For the vegetarians and slightly more health/weight- conscious, this alternative holds its own just as well. Made up of layers and layers of cut fruits, lettuce, osmanthus jelly and pomelo, this flower-inspired art piece is both eye-catching and forgiving to the waistline. Dressed in Japanese sesame and plum sauce, we thoroughly enjoyed how refreshing and naturally sweet this was. This could almost pass off as a dessert even!
