Ah Mei Cafe @ Railway Mall
Railway mall is like THE supper place for the family whenever we get hungry at night because EAT and Ah Mei Cafe are both 24/7. So it’s like prata/kaya toast/bak chor mee at any hour of the day. Used to come here for super early morning breakfasts after Zouk as well in the past, back when I could stay up all night..back when I was younger.
Anyhow, we came here for brekkie at 7.30am today after sending daddy off to school because he has a retreat for the next 3 days! And nothing makes a morning better than teh-si with prata!
Prata plain + Prata with egg
3 sets of 2 pratas and 3 teas only came up to $11.20. Dont you just love Singapore? :) I know I do.
The Original Pancake Kitchen
Breakfast, desserts and PANCAKES 24/7! I likeeeee :) One of the rare few easily accessible 24/7 food places in Adelaide apart from O Connell Bakery which also requires a car/taxi to get to from the city. The Original Pancake Kitchen is possibly the best stop over place on the way home from Hindley or if you have one of those random pancake cravings in the middle of the night!
So let’s start with the savoury dishes…
German Feast $14- Served with a kranski sausage, bacon, tomato and 2 eggs with buttermilk pancakes
Farmers Breakfast $11.50- Two fresh eggs, two pancakes, and two hash browns
Eggs Benedict (Single) $9.50- Buttermilk pancake topped with a thinly grilled ham, poached egg, finished with Hollandaise sauce
My usual dessert pancake order: It $12- A combination of hot buttered walnuts and Jamaican banana served with ice-cream

And because you always need a Marshmallow Cocoa $5- Steaming hot chocolate topped with home made marshmallow to end the night before you brace yourself for the cold walk home down Rundle Mall ;)
So I’ve tried this place at normal human hours and at the wee hours of the night and my conclusion is that pancakes and hot chocolate always taste so much better after midnight ;)

Breakfast, Lunch, Tea, Dinner or Supper- Prata all the time! :) And unlike the Roti Canai in Adelaide, it isnt $4.50 apiece in Singapore! :D

In addition to other things we ordered that I didnt get a photo of, total bill came up to only $15.90! How worth it is that! :)

EAT at 12midnight
So after The Black Sheep Cafe and Loysel’s Toy Cafe, I went for Easter Vigil in church which lasted for 3hrs and by the time we drove home to pick Jie up for supper, it was already 11plus? I wanted to eat Bak Chor Mee but everywhere was already closed so where else to go but EAT at Rail Mall which is 24hrs! :)
My usual order- Bak Chor Mee (Mee Kia) with EXTRA CHILLI AND EXTRA VINEGAR
Look at the huge dollop of chilli that the Uncle was nice enough to give me!! :D :D :D
