Adelaide Eats: Nano Ready 2 Go

Favourite place with the housemates and I. We’re always coming here either for breakfast or a simple takeaway when we get lazy to cook. Freshly baked croissants, crisp toasted bread for sandwiches and possibly one of the best OJs around- you definitely have to pay this place a visit. The trick is to come early because doors open at 7.15am and they are closed by 3pm with most items sold out way before that!

Omelette $12.30– Egg, Assiago, Spinach and Mushroom

Two Fried Eggs and Toast $7.30

Scrambled Spinach Doorstop $5.60

Roast Field Mushrooms $11.50– served with oven dried tomatoes, basil, Italian Parmesan & Balsamic Vinegar on sliced foccacia bread

Adelaide Eats: East End Yiros

Newly opened yiros cafe at Grenfell Street..barely 1 month old. We trudged here after staring at pathpots for the last 2.5 hrs and took off our labcoats (hopefully never to have to wear them again) before proceeding here to ‘celebrate’. Actually we were just starving and needed fast food literally…

We ordered the Mixed Grill $32– mix of shashlik, 2 chevapchichis and combo of yiros meet + 2 salads

Our Four Beans and Potatos Salads

Thought the chicken and lamb were well grilled..was not such a big fan of the pork though (had problems trying to chew it because it was too tough). By the way I always thought yiros were mainly lamb and chicken… Anyhow this place is like really really near our house so Im not complaining :D Convenient and fast food!

Adelaide Eats: Back To Vego & Definitely Love’n It!

Curry & Loven It (half-serve) $7.50– One hot chilli burger, brinjal relish, fresh tomato, avocado, cucumber, carrot, tahini, lettuce and mixed sprouts + mango relish (and of course I got the cucumbers removed and requested for sun-dried tomatoes instead :D)

Gourmet Tofu Burger (half-serve) $7.50– Burger on roll, filled with olive paste, sundried tomato, avocado, chilli and tahini

Green Tea with Lemongrass (pot for 2) $3.50

So the total bill came up to less than $20 for both of us for a very hearty meal :) I think I have just found my new favourite burger here at Vego..the Curry burger was amazingggg especially with the mango relish! Yum tum tum :D Oh soo good! I have no idea what they added in the patty either but the mixed spices certainly gave it a great spicy kick and of course the gourmet tofu burger is always a classic :) Thought that the green tea with lemongrass was an excellent blend too! Couldnt have asked for a better afternoon with yummy and cheap food and fantastic company :D
